Since the Subject Line change mid-thread has never come up in forum before, the Admins and Mods have had a policy discussion.
We feel that since it does cause confusion, especially for those who are using the Recent Messages feature, and that the Subject Line is the thread title and should remain so throughout the thread. If a poster feels the Subject Line needs to be changed, then it's time for a new thread.
To handle subject changes within threads, it is suggested that you can add your subtitle at the top of your post and change type characteristics such as color/bold/italics. For example:
SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT
....anything like this at the top the poster's message should suffice. The toolbar buttons (B, I, U...) at the top of each message field will change the text desired. If you'd like to practice these, Kronalias has created a WMP Sandpit area where you can play with the all the Phorum's posting functions available to you.
And, as always, if you need any assistance, let one of the admins or moderators know, and we'd be happy to assist you.
Thanks
Jan
