This was a blog post that came through today from BBC Radio 4...

All in the Mind: Take the BBC Stress Test

Excessive stress can cause be serious and cause a myriad of medical problems, so this sort of test may be important. But we aren't about all that 'real world stuff' (as Tru and I call it) here at the Beebotron.

Most of us hang out on the boards to relieve stress, vent and maybe have a little fun. So, as I was reading this, I got to thinkin' (a dangerous thing, I know blushing smiley 2 ) that it might be fun, and maybe a stress reliever, to create our own BBC Listeners Stress Test....for example.....

(+ indicates a stressor. - indicates a reliever)

Garrison Keillor - 3+
Paul Temple - 5-
Stream Drop Outs - 2+
New Program - 4-

TOTAL = - 4

(Listening to the BBC = 4 point of stress relief.)

....you get the idea. However you wanna do it...no pressure. winking smiley

So, give it a go! As a BBC Listener, what makes us say....."grrrrrrr".....and what makes us say....."ahhhhhhh"..........

How about...

Yet another R4 afternoon play that is really an extension of 'social services' - 4+

McLevy - 5 - Paul Temple 5 -

Coping with repeats that I am not fond of on R4ex - 2 +

New programme of interest to me- 4 -

One could almost add compiling this as a stress giver, but thankfully there a lot of +'s to fill up my time......

It is isn't it? blushing smiley 2 After I posted this, I honestly considered deleting it. When I originally thought of it, I thought it would be fun.....but even composing the post example was a bit depressing! sad smiley

Sometimes things should just stay in your head, I guess. tongue sticking out smiley
