My view is that if you think your post needs an explanation, the link is probably too obscure.

I've hardly understood anything in this thread so far, but the basic idea of the game seems clear, and so does that link - Wichita County is in the state of Texas (even though I didn't know that - my knowledge of geography is atrocious!).

Oh dear, looks as if we have a Pond problem . For those who are not good at geography perhaps any regional references could be explained - otherwise I will be spending all my time thinking up obscure English place nameswhistling smiley

I'm totally confused now. The last few posts illustrate the excellence of Ivor's suggestion "that the title, that is being replied to, is displayed". It's a pity he didn't follow his own advice.

Precisely! I was showing the anarchy of this thread. Depending how you view the messages, 3 posts can be made within as many minutes, but not appear linked to each other, even if they are replying to each other.

Already I'm confused again. We now seem to have two links following on from my "Band of Gold". Am I misreading this somehow? My brain hurts!

Sorry Mat - take "Silver threads among the gold" as next link.

The other was just a question to clarify the rules in my mind - sorry to confuse you.

Penny.
