Has anyone else been experiencing dropouts on BBC R4 and R4x this morning? I've been having a devil of a time all night and today.

Jan, I havent had drop outs , but I had bad interference on Radio 4 about between about 7 and 9pm (that is 5 and 7 British time, cant work it out for California!) yesterday and some again today.

Rather strange and hard to describe. The sound went fuzzy for a few moments and then recovered. At first I thought it was my speakers then electrical interference (weve had stormy weather last couple of days) but maybe R4 are fiddling around with something again. Didnt get it on R3 but was only on for l0 mins orso finally getting to the end of Twelfth Night!

I can't get anything to play for more than fifteen minutes, tops. I had to download The Archers podcast the last two days. Not sure what's going on. If no one else is experiencing the same thing it's probably my ISP....again!

I haven't been listening to much, this last day or so, but there has been no problem with either of the two programmes I have listened to, one from Radio 4 Extra and one from Radio 4. However, the Radio 4 programme was from last Friday, which might make a difference.

I think it may be in my Total Recorder Pro program. I tried to listen to The Castle and the farthest it will go is about fifteen minutes, but usually experiences streamus interruptus after four.

I tried the same link in WMP and it played fine all the way through. Blech! Hate WMP!

I haven't changed anything so I'm not sure what the deal is. Last time this happened it was a combination of Auntie working out security issues and my lovely neighbor who put a gizmo on his house that was interfering with my wireless. Auntie got her sh...self together and husband got me hooked up by Ethernet and everything was rosy.

All my programs and codecs are updated. Not sure what the deal is this time 'round.

Just got back online after a couple of days away, but I did have trouble getting Shakespeare's Restless World, but I got Vivat Rex and Night Waves The Tempest (via iPlayer stream)

Had no problem getting the archived Desert Island Discs episodes (I know that show is not too popular around here). I got the Rowan Atkinson one which was interesting because you don't usually get a chance to listen to him on a long form interview. The only other one I've seen/heard is the one he did with John Lloyd for the Blackadder extras. Also got the one with Brian Keenan (one of the former Beirut hostages) as well as John Thaw,

Can't help wondering if Janaru and The Bastard are having a fight to the death at the top of the Reichenbach Falls.

Yeah, we've been in a death grip all week! I finally threw his a*s over though. I got ahold of tech support for TRP and they had me change a couple of settings and I seem to be sittin' pretty again. Time for a brew at the Englischer Hof......
