Auslogics registry cleaner, registry defrag .... !!!!!!!!!!!
A while ago I was working with a pc guru who set up a new system on this ere machine ...
No sooner had he left than yours Truly ... eeejit 'ere got her duster out and "cleaned" the whole new set up.
Result? All sorts of gremlins and glitches. Sound systems didn't record, DVD/CD wasn't being recognised ... and that was just the start of it.
Incidentally either the registry cleaner or the defrag was wiping various reference files it decided I wasn't using enough and therefore didn't need.
Your post brought that adventure home J. So it turned out the pc guru bore no responsibility for the mess ups at all!

Well that one is understandable. This was (as my Pops used to say) "Plain ol' head in a*s!"
I usually copy program info from their websites to the Copy to Note feature in Opera then after I decide what I want to post, I drag them into the post field and edit.
Well, I thought I was deleting one program I had just posted, but the happened to be in the notes panel itself and POOF! twas no more
